The Family Solar Kit was created and has
all the necessary components for easy

What is an on-grid system?
An on-grid system, also called grid-connected, can enter or not into the national grid the electricity production generated by the PV .
We make three concrete examples:
- it is a beautiful sunny day and the photovoltaic system produces enough power to operate all the appliances in the house: I do not need to buy power from the national grid;
- it is a beautiful sunny day and the photovoltaic system produces enough power to operate all the appliances in the house, but I do not need to use it: the energy that I'm producing is stored in the national grid;
- is a rainy day, with dark clouds covering the sun, and the solar panels do not produce enough power to run appliances that serve me: in this case I buy the energy that I need from the national grid.
The basic components of an on-grid system are:
- photovoltaic panels
- inverter (which has the function to convert the DC power generated by the PV module to alternating current)
- bi-directional meter that accounts for both the incoming and the current output .
